The sages often say, "The only constant is change." If you have a
wheat allergy, you'll be comforted to know that one of the things that is constantly improving are the number of wheat-free foods available. Ten years ago, a wheat-free diet was severely limited in terms of commercially produced food. Today, my local (non-specialty) grocery store stocks an entire aisle with wheat and gluten-free items. Pizzas, breads, waffles... almost anything you can think of, you can find wheat-free.
Eating out has also become more tolerable, with restauranteurs realizing the opportunities of catering their wheat-free patrons.
P.F. Chang's is an example of a chain that gets my kudos for implementing safe food processes.

If you have a
wheat allergy and a sweet tooth like me, I have no qualms about recommending
Cherrybrook Kitchen mixes. Our pantry is always stocked with a few boxes. A batch of cupcakes is at the ready in our freezer for the occasions when Tanner goes to a birthday party. I take one out to defrost in the morning, ice it up, and we're good to go! In my opinion, they actually taste better than regular cake mixes.
