Peanut Allergy Safe at Ballgames!

I am so proud our local food allergy support group, Gateway FEAST! The whole team really pitched in to make a splash, first partnering with the St. Louis Cardinals designate a Peanut Safe section at the June 21st home game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The St. Louis Cardinals are the 3rd Major League Baseball team to introduce a peanut-safe section. An official for team told the Post-Dispatch that if the experiment is successful, they will consider adding peanut-free sections at more games. The River City Rascals, a minor league team also has a regular peanut-safe section at their Wednesday night games.

Last week, a media frenzy ensued with the release of the story. It made the front page of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, was covered in The Kansas City Star, KTRS AM Radio (I've uploaded the MP2 below), FOX 2 News (local and national), Channel 5 News as well as the Talk of the Day Blog and Sports by Brooks.
